I’m passionate about sharing stories from Scotland in a sensitive and engaging way
What I do
Since I was young I’ve loved to write, and after graduating with a degree in English Literature, and with a national journalism award under my arm, you could say copywriting is my superpower. I’m a perfectionist and get easily annoyed by typos. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I’m not just a blogger myself, I’ve also worked closely with other bloggers and influencers for a range of campaigns during my career. That means I understand the industry from the inside and out. Not only am I acutely aware of when #ad needs to be used on content (and I’ll call you out if you try to avoid it…) but I can also put you in touch with an established network of fellow writer friends who might expand the reach of your project through their passion for Scotland.
I’ve worked as a social media manager since 2016, advising organisations on their digital channel strategy and content creation. These are skills I bring to campaigns I work on through this blog. Expect to receive detailed analytics on post performance at the end of our campaign.
I don’t only write about Scotland. I’m also interested in minimalism, social media, literature, sustainability, and slower travel. In the past I’ve written guest articles for a range of publications, from being a regular contributor in the Scots Magazine to being one of the featured writers in online brand Hidden Scotland‘s first ever print offering. Less of the listicles — my favourite guest pieces to write involve a lot of research and interviewing interesting people.
In the past I’ve also collaborated with Historic Environment Scotland, National Trust for Scotland, Barbour, Go Ape, Passion Passport, ScotRail and This Is Edinburgh.
